Substrate Integrated Waveguide - Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Future Wireless Communication

A substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) fed rectangular-shaped dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is proposed for application in the D - Band frequency regime. The Dielectric Resonator (DR) designed to operate higher order modes. narrow slot used excite DR element, leading multiple resonances. resulting structure a multi-resonant operating at six frequencies 123.64 GHz, 125.76 127.4 129.9 134.9 GHz and 137.7 frequencies. These are identified as TE10δ1, TE7δ5, TEδ31, TEδ25, TEδ31 TEδ35 modes of operation resonator, respectively. resonances merged achieve −10 dB impedance bandwidth ranging between 122.58 139.51 equivalent 13.4% center GHz. Moreover, possesses stable radiation pattern broadband direction, across entire band operation. Simulation results show that has peak gain 12.3 dBi, maximum directivity 13.14 dBi efficiency 84% 126 Simulated design potential suitability utilization future wireless communications.
